Crime Prevention Officer

Location - Wakefield / Leeds
2 full time permanent post (37 hours)
An exciting opportunity has emerged to join West Yorkshire Police as a Crime Prevention Officer based at Headquarters, Wakefield and Elland Road Headquarters, Leeds.
In this role, you will support Neighbourhood, District and Force level efforts in reducing the opportunity for crime to occur, by developing sustainable solutions in areas of concern.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in creating and deliver projects that address a number of issues and an ability to operate relevant computerised databases/systems. A basic knowledge of crime prevention tactical approaches, partnership working and problem solving is also desirable.
The Crime Prevention Officer role plays an intricate part in our crime prevention and problem-solving strategy for the Force. The role also asks that you are able to influence Districts in responding to local, regional, and national crime trends at an early stage and that you are able to reach out to other Forces for best practise that can be disseminated and acted upon at District level.
