About the Role
We are currently seeking a passionate and resilient Primary School Teacher to join a supportive Alternative Provision in Wickford, Essex on a short-term basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils who require a more tailored and nurturing approach to their education. The role involves working with small groups of learners who may have experienced barriers to mainstream education, helping to re-engage them and support both their academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
· Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the primary curriculum
· Support pupils with varying social, emotional, and behavioural needs
· Create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
· Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and external professionals
· Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs
· Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
We are looking for a teacher who is:
· A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS preferred)
· Experienced in primary education (KS1 or KS2)
· Confident working with pupils with additional needs or SEMH (desirable)
· Patient, empathetic, and resilient
· Able to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learners
· Committed to making a positive impact in an alternative setting
