Depot Engineer (Powered Access) Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire £35,000 - £45,000 Days, 08:00 to 17:30 We are supporting a well-established powered access and plant hire business who are looking to appoint a Depot Engineer to join their workshop team in the LE65 area. This is a hands-on workshop based role responsible for the inspection, maintenance, fault finding and repair of powered access equipment including scissor lifts, boom lifts, cherry pickers and telehandlers. The role is based at a busy depot environment, working as part of a small engineering team to ensure equipment is fully serviced, safe and ready for hire. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned maintenance and reactive repairs on powered access and plant equipment Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical faults Inspect, service and prepare scissor lifts, boom lifts, telehandlers and similar machinery for hire Complete pre delivery inspections and safety checks Ensure all equipment is compliant with safety and operational standards Maintain accurate service and repair records Support workshop efficiency and turnaround targets Work collaboratively within the depot engineering teamCandidate Requirements Experience working as a Plant Fitter, Service Engineer, Access Engineer or similar role Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault finding skills Basic electrical diagnostic ability desirable Experience working with powered access equipment or plant hire machinery preferred Ability to work independently in a workshop environment Strong attention to detail with a safety focused mindset Full UK driving licenceIf this role is of interest, please apply
