Class 2 Driver with Box Trailer (LGV Category C) – Store Deliveries Location: Leicester Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 5 Days Week (inc 2 Nights Away)/2am Start on Monday - 2pm on Friday Full Job Description We are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional Class 2 Driver (LGV Category C) to work for us on behalf of our leading Leicester-based client. This is a full-time, permanent position delivering caged goods throughout the UK on behalf of our retail client. The successful candidate will be safety-focused, customer-oriented, and capable of managing a varied daily workload while maintaining high standards of professionalism and compliance. Key Responsibilities * Carry out pallet deliveries and collections in a safe and efficient manner. * Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle in accordance with all legal and company requirements. * Complete daily vehicle walkaround checks and report any defects promptly. * Use a tail lift to load and unload cages at store sites (manual manoevering of cages is necessary). * Complete electronic Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation accurately. * Use company-approved smartphone applications for POD completion, vehicle checks, and transport-related tasks. Essential Requirements * Valid LGV Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence. * Valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card. * Previous Class 2 driving experience is essential. * Experience operating vehicles fitted with tail lifts. * Ability and willingness to use an electric pallet truck when required. * Good knowledge of road transport regulations and driver compliance requirements. * Strong communication and customer service skills. * Excellent time management and organisational skills. * Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious approach to work. * Own smartphone required for electronic POD completion, vehicle checks, and transport applications.
