Job Description /n /n /n JOB TITLE: Student Recruitment Outreach Officer /n /n /n REPORTS TO TITLE: Senior Student Recruitment Manager /n /n /n BUSINESS FUNCTION/ SUB-FUNCTION: Marketing / Student Recruitment /n /n /n LOCATION: Greenford, West London /n /n /n /n /n /n ROLE PURPOSE: /n /n /n The Outreach Officer sits within Student Recruitment and will lead on efforts to build strategic relationships, foster community engagement, and expand our educational and corporate partnerships. You will have a passion for education and business development, strong communication skills, and a proven track record in outreach initiatives. This role is essential in advancing GBS’s mission to provide impactful educational solutions across diverse sectors. /n /n /n /n /n ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES: /n /n /n - /n Community Engagement: Develop and implement outreach strategies to foster meaningful partnerships with educational institutions, non-profits, and corporate partners that aligns with GBS’s mission and values. /n /n /n /n - /n Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including universities, government agencies, industry groups, and local community organisations. /n /n /n /n - /n Program Development: Design and coordinate outreach programs, workshops, and events that showcase GBS’s educational resources and services. /n /n /n /n - /n Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and product teams to develop outreach campaigns and materials that highlight GBS’s educational solutions. /n /n /n /n - /n Data-Driven Analysis: Utilise data to access the impact of outreach initiatives, prepare reports, and recommend improvements for maximising engagement. /n /n /n /n - /n Brand Ambassador: Represent GBS at community events, conferences, and networking opportunities, enhancing the company’s visibility and reputation within the education sector. /n /n /n /n /n ESSENTIAL SKILLS and EXPERIENCE: /n /n /n - /n Proven experience in outreach, recruitment, or community engagement, preferably in an educational setting. /n /n /n /n - /n Experience of providing excellent customer service to prospective students by addressing their enquiries, concerns, and needs in a timely and professional manner. /n /n /n /n - /n Able to utilise effective selling techniques to achieve enrolment targets /n /n /n /n - /n Ability to identify the needs and goals of prospective students and recommend suitable programmes. /n /n /n /n - /n Ability to effectively communicate with prospective candidates through various channels, including in-person interactions, phone calls, emails, and other platforms. /n /n /n /n - /n Ability to effectively use active listening skills towards the needs and concerns of prospective students and responding with tailored solutions and support. /n /n /n /n - /n Ability to use effective closing skills byguiding prospective students through the enrolment process and overcoming objections to secure commitments and enrolments. /n /n /n /n /n /n /n /n KEY RESULT AREAS: /n /n /n - /n Achievement of set targets /n /n /n /n - /n Identifying continuous improvement of process and operations /n /n /n /n - /n Pipeline Management and Conversion rates /n /n /n /n - /n Effective relationship building and maintenance /n /n /n /n /n /n OTHER INFORMATION: /n /n /n The Student Recruitment Outreach Officer will also be expected to demonstrate their commitment: /n /n /n /n - /n to GBS values and regulations, including equal opportunities policy. /n /n /n /n - /n to GBS’s Social, Economic and Environmental responsibilities and minimise environmental impact in the performance of the role and actively contribute to the delivery of GBS’s Environmental Policy. /n /n /n /n - /n to their Health and Safety responsibilities to ensure their contribution to a safe and secure working environment for staff, students, and other visitors to the campus. /n /n /n /n
