Azure Cloud Engineer

Hays are now looking for an Azure Engineer for one of our local clients: £428.40 Outside IR35 Remote (occasional meetings in London) 6 month+ contract Overview We're looking for a hands-on Azure Cloud Migration Engineer to support the migration of a business-critical application from on-premise infrastructure to Microsoft Azure. Working alongside the Lead Technical Architect, you'll build, migrate, test and support Azure infrastructure, ensuring a secure, resilient and operationally ready platform. Essential Skills Azure cloud migration experience Azure Infrastructure (compute, storage, landing zones) Azure Networking & Hybrid Connectivity Entra ID / Identity & Access Management Azure Security Backup, Recovery & Disaster Recovery Terraform, Bicep or Infrastructure as Code Azure DevOps / CI/CD Monitoring, Logging & Operational Support Experience in regulated or mission-critical environments Responsibilities Support discovery, technical assessment and migration planning Build and configure Azure infrastructure, networking and security controls Implement identity, monitoring and operational services Deliver migration, cutover and rollback activities Support resilience, backup and disaster recovery testing Troubleshoot infrastructure and migration issues Produce technical documentation and operational handover materials Work closely with architects, Microsoft and third-party teams throughout delivery Desirable Azure certifications Azure Landing Zones Kubernetes / AKS ITIL / Service Transition experience If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or send a copy to Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
