About the role

Job Title: SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: South LiverpoolArea: Allerton Pay: £95 per dayJob DescriptionHays Education are working with a mainstream primary based in the Allerton area who are seeking a full time SEN Teaching Assistant to join them working in their SEN Hub.The role will involve:

  • Support children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to access learning and participate fully in school life
  • Work under the direction of the class teacher and SENCo to deliver individual education plans (IEPs), EHCP targets, and tailored interventions
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs
  • Adapt learning activities, resources, and teaching approaches to meet individual learning styles and abilities

Previous Experience Required

  • Previous experience working with SEN children at a primary age
  • Or relevant experience from a care background
  • Possession or ability to obtain enhanced DBS checks
