About the Role:
The job holder will be part of an engineering team responsible for the development, integration and testing of a through life testing platform.
The Modelling and Test Environment (MaTE) Software is developed in partnership with our Eurofighter Partner Companies (EPCs); and the development, integration, testing & support of Desktop Virtual Rigs (DTVR), which is based on the MaTE software.
MaTE and related products such as the DTVR are delivered internally throughout Avionics and General Systems but are also delivered to external RAF/Export customers.
Post-delivery these facilities require back-office engineering support at Warton and infrequently off-site locations.

Key Responsibilities :
Development, testing and release of aircraft software simulations and software testing tools.
Development, integration, test and release of MaTE related products, such as DTVR.
Development, integration, test and release of the MaTE Software.
Review and analysis of suitable toolsets and methodologies
Configuration and Version Control
Managing budgets and schedules
Working closely with suppliers and key stakeholders
Update of design specifications

Skills & Qualifications :
Experience of software development activities using langauages such as C#, C++ or Ada.
Strong programming experience and will ideally have experience developing simulations and/or aircraft software, with experience of test tools.
Knowledge of software development lifecycle and associated standards
