About the role
Daily Supply Short-Term Long-Term Opportunities
Teach locally. Teach flexibly. Teach with support that actually cares. Are you a qualified primary teacher looking for flexible work that fits around your life, or a longer-term role where you can properly settle into a school and make a real difference?
I'm working on behalf of Reed Education, supporting a growing number of primary schools across the Wakefield area, and I'm keen to speak with experienced and committed teachers who are looking for high-quality supply or long-term teaching opportunities.
This is not a case of registering and hoping for the odd day of work. Due to the high calibre of teachers within the Reed Wakefield team and the consistently strong service schools receive, more schools are choosing to work with Reed. As a result, there is a high volume of work available throughout the academic year, across all year groups.
What's available?- Daily supply roles offering flexibility and variety
- Short-term cover including sickness, maternity and planned absences
- Long-term positions providing consistency and the opportunity to settle into a school
- Opportunities across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Local Wakefield schools with realistic travel expectations
- Competitive daily rates, paid weekly
- Clear communication and proper role briefings before each placement
Reed Wakefield works closely with its schools, building long-standing relationships rather than last-minute placements. Schools continue to join Reed because they value the quality, professionalism and reliability of the teachers they receive.
For you, that means:
- More work available across more schools
- Stronger consistency, if you want it
- Schools that understand and respect supply teachers
- A consultant who takes time to understand what works for you
Whether you're looking for regular full-time supply, a specific year group, or the flexibility to dip in and out of work, your preferences are taken seriously.
Who this role suits- Qualified primary teachers with UK QTS
- Confident classroom practitioners with strong behaviour management
- Teachers who take pride in delivering quality teaching, even on a daily basis
- ECTs, experienced teachers and teachers returning to the profession
- Teachers who want to work in Wakefield primary schools on a regular basis
Many teachers I work with have come to supply for different reasons - workload, flexibility, family commitments, or to find the right long-term position. I'm always happy to have an open, honest conversation about what's available and what would genuinely suit you.
No pressure. No unrealistic promises. Just clear information and proper support.
Apply nowIf you're a qualified primary teacher and want access to a high volume of work, supportive schools, and a well-established agency with a strong reputation in Wakefield, I'd love to hear from you.
Apply today or get in touch for a confidential conversation about current opportunities.
Reed Education - trusted by schools, valued by teachers.
