Mott MacDonald Bentley is a fully integrated design and build business combining the design expertise of Mott MacDonald with the contracting experience of JN Bentley.
This role delivers water and wastewater treatment projects across the DCC region, working from outline to detailed design through construction, commissioning and handover.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a project triangle alongside a Site Manager and Quantity Surveyor to ensure technical, constructability and commercial aspects are considered throughout.
- Lead the design of treatment or infrastructure projects from initial outline to detailed design, through construction, commissioning and handover.
- Coordinate a multidisciplinary project team (civil, electrical, mechanical, process designers, BIM modelers, technical specialists) to ensure designs are completed on programme, within budget and to required quality.
- Undertake design work in own discipline and mentor less experienced colleagues where appropriate.
- Build positive relationships with the client’s project, operational and technical assurance teams and promote a one‑team approach.
Qualifications
- Accredited Degree in Engineering – Civil, Mechanical, Process or Electrical.
- Incorporated Member of an Engineering Institution.
- Experience of outline and detailed design of water or wastewater projects.
- Knowledge of Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.
