With the power of many curious minds, together we can continue to solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Role description:As an Arboriculturist you would be joining our 50 plus strong ecology team, who have over 20 years of experience undertaking the full range of ecological and arboricultural surveys and assessments, as well as the provision of advice on masterplanning, mitigation and enhancement design, ecosystem service and natural capital assessment.As part of our Environmental team, you’ll help improve quality of life. With your specialism in environmental management, or your technical or sustainability expertise, your work could involve protected species, pollution, surface water and materials management, air quality or noise. And in some of the world’s busiest and most beautiful locations.We work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. Around the world, we’re feeling the effects climate change, rapid urbanization, loss of biodiversity. We are here to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations.Role accountabilities:As an Arboriculture Consultant your roleaccountabilities will include:Applying your expertise by conducting surveys and providing associated reports to drive our core passion: to improve quality of life in a sustainable way.Undertaking BS 5837 2012 Arboricultural surveys and producing associated reports, Arboricultural Impact Assessment (AIAs) and Arboricultural Method Statements (AMSs)Undertaking climbed surveys on occasion to inspect potential bat roosting featuresProvide general advice on Arboricultural issuesComplete arb projects and provide Arboricultural advice to clientsQualifications & Experience:Applicants should hold a suitable qualification (e.g. FdSc Arb, BSc or Technician’s Certificate in Arboriculture or higher or closely related field) and membership of the Arboricultural Association or the Institute of Chartered ForestersArboricultural knowledge including BS 5837 2012 Tree Quality Surveys and the preparation of Arboricultural Impact Assessments / Arboricultural Method StatementsPrevious experience of undertaking tree condition surveys, BS5837 survey’s and reporting, with a proven track record in writing tree reports suitable for planning applications (appropriate to grade)Understanding of health and safety related issues regarding site survey and supervisionDesired: LANTRA Professional Tree Inspector CertificateDesired: CS38: Accessing a Tree with Rope and Harness and Aerial RescueDesired: Experience of database asset management software and tablet data collectionDesired: Experience of assessing trees for their potential for roosting batsContinue your career journey as an Arcadian.We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
