A well-established manufacturing business is looking to recruit an experienced Engineering Team Leader / Maintenance Supervisor to support the engineering function and lead a team of multi-skilled engineers.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer looking to step into leadership, or an existing team leader seeking a fresh challenge within a stable and growing business.
The Role You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the engineering department, ensuring equipment reliability, team performance, and continuous improvement across site.
This is a hands-on leadership role, combining technical support with people management.
Key Responsibilities: Leading and supporting a team of maintenance engineers on shift
Ensuring planned and reactive maintenance activities are completed effectively
Supporting fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems
Driving continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
Managing workloads, priorities, and shift handovers
Supporting health & safety and compliance across engineering
Assisting with training and development of engineers
About You We are looking for a strong engineer with leadership capability who can motivate a team while remaining technically involved.
Key Requirements: Experience in a maintenance engineering role within manufacturing
Previous leadership or supervisory experience (or ready to step up)
Multi-skilled background (electrical or mechanical bias)
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
Good communication and team leadership skills
A proactive, hands-on approach
