An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major £75m energy infrastructure project in South Wales.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with infrastructure, utilities, civil engineering, construction, or energy experience who is looking to transition into the rapidly growing UK renewable and energy sector. The business offers genuine long-term career progression, including a clear pathway to Commercial Lead as the project and commercial team continue to grow.
The RoleAs Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management and successful delivery of a high-profile energy project. Working closely with the Commercial Manager and wider project team, you will support all financial, contractual, and commercial activities across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Managing subcontractor accounts, applications, valuations, and final accounts
- Supporting commercial reporting, forecasting, and budget management
- Producing accurate Cost Value Reports (CVRs)
- Monitoring project costs, risks, and commercial performance
- Reviewing contracts, rates, and procurement packages
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities and commercial improvements
- Supporting stakeholder management and client relationships
- Assisting in the leadership and development of the commercial function
To be considered for this Quantity Surveyor opportunity, you should have:
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within utilities, infrastructure, civil engineering, construction, or energy projects
- Strong commercial awareness and contractual knowledge
- Experience managing subcontractor accounts and project costs
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience
- Full UK driving licence preferred
