Vehicle Technician / Plant Fitter

Are you a Vehicle Technician, HGV Technician, Plant Fitter or Agricultural Engineer ready to put your mechanical skills to work on military vehicles and specialist defence equipment? Bring your workshop experience to a role supporting UK Defence operations, with varied equipment, fully funded technical training and opportunities to develop your skills. No previous military experience is required. This role requires successful applicants to become or remain an Army Sponsored Reservist, with all necessary training provided.

• You'll service, maintain and repair a wide range of military vehicles, specialist plant and defence equipment, helping prepare equipment for operational use.
• Your responsibilities will include:
• Carrying out servicing, planned maintenance and equipment inspections
• Diagnosing faults across diesel, electric, mechanical and hydraulic systems
• Completing repairs and replacing or rebuilding mechanical components
• Preparing vehicles and equipment for operational use
• Maintaining accurate service and repair records

• We welcome experienced technicians, recently qualified apprentices and automotive engineering graduates with practical workshop experience.
• Your background could include:
• Vehicle Technician, Motor Mechanic or Diagnostic Technician
• HGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician
• Plant Fitter or Agricultural Engineer
• Emergency Service or Fleet Technician
• Forklift or Material Handling Engineer
• 4x4 or Off-Highway Vehicle Technician
• REME Engineer or military vehicle maintenance
• You'll bring practical mechanical skills, a methodical approach to fault finding and a willingness to learn. Full technical training will help you transfer your experience to military vehicles and specialist equipment.

• 37,791.73 basic annual salary
