Account Manager – Defence / Cybersecurity
Northampton (Hybrid - 1 day per week month in the office)
£50,000 – £75,000 base + double ote

I’m currently partnering with a high-growth cybersecurity organisation operating at the cutting edge of secure data transfer and mission-critical infrastructure within the Defence sector.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional looking to own the full sales cycle in a highly specialised and impactful environment.
The Opportunity
This is a true 360 sales role where you’ll take ownership from initial prospecting through to long-term account development. You’ll be responsible for generating new business, managing complex opportunities, and building lasting relationships with Defence clients.
The role offers a strong mix of:
- New business development
- Opportunity and pipeline management
- Strategic account growth
You’ll collaborate closely with technical teams to shape tailored solutions and play a key role in delivering outcomes that directly support national security and operational capability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline through proactive outreach, networking, and targeted engagement
- Manage the full sales cycle from discovery through to close
- Work alongside technical specialists to develop credible, solution-led proposals
- Grow and expand existing accounts, identifying new opportunities within clients
- Provide market insight to support wider go-to-market strategy

- A consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Strong conversion across the sales cycle
- Growth in both new and existing Defence xwzovoh accounts
- Trusted relationships with key stakeholders
- Effective collaboration internally to deliver high-quality solutions
About You:
- Proven experience in a 360 sales role within Defence or cybersecurity (or a closely related sector)
- Comfortable engaging both technical and senior stakeholders
- Strong commercial mindset with a proactive approach to winning business
- Skilled at translating complex concepts into clear, value-driven conversations
- Experience with secure data transfer or Cross Domain Solutions is beneficial, but not essential
