About the role

We have recently been retained to recruit for a General Manager for an independently owned fresh food led gastropub with events facilities, located in a highly affluent area on the outskirts of Bishops Stortford.

This venue, which will be undergoing major refurbishment soon, also includes a self-contained adjacent boutique historic property that can be used for exclusive private hire or as 4 to 6 individual rooms.

This gastropub is very much the go to place for the local community and has a very regular and loyal clientele. Our client is therefore looking to recruit an experienced hands-on General Manager who is able to demonstrate a stable and progressive background, to their current role of General Manager, gained in fresh food led, community focused Gastropubs.

This is very much a face of the business General Manager role, and the successful candidate will report directly to the venue owners, and will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of the entire operation, including managing an established management team and as many as 40 full and part time staff...
