We're looking for an experienced Diagnostic Technician / Vehicle Technician to join our growing independent workshop in Blandford.

Salary: £30,000 depending on experience and ability.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who wants varied work, great Monday-to-Friday hours and the chance to play an important role in a growing business.

You'll work on a wide range of cars, vans and commercial vehicles, carrying out everything from routine servicing and maintenance to diagnostics and complex mechanical repairs.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving and is committed to delivering work to a high standard.

The Role Your day-to-day work will include: Vehicle diagnostics and fault-finding.

Servicing, maintenance and general mechanical repairs.

Diagnosing faults with engines, brakes, steering, suspension and electrical systems.

Clutch replacements.

Timing belt and timing chain replacements.

Engine replacements and major mechanical repairs.

Head gasket, diesel injector and coolant system repairs.

Electrical diagnosis and repairs.

Working across a wide range of makes and models.

Carrying out repairs efficiently and to manufacturer and safety standards.

Completing accurate digital job records.

Maintaining excellent vehicle cleanliness and presentation.

Providing professional customer advice and support.

About You You'll ideally have: Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification or equivalent.

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic.

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

Experience working on a wide range of vehicles and manufacturers.

Experience with complex mechanical repairs and component replacements.

Good technical knowledge and attention to detail.

Good IT skills and confidence using digital systems.

A genuine commitment to high-quality workmanship.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Full UK driving licence.

MOT Tester qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.

What We Offer £30,000 per year, depending on experience and ability.

Monday to Friday, 8:30am5:00pm.

Full-time, permanent employment.
