Lead Mechanical Engineer Location: Peckham, London Salary: Up to £48,000 + Overtime Available Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm Lead Mechanical Engineer – Peckham – Up to £48,000 Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking for your next leadership opportunity? We are seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join a successful and growing engineering team in Peckham. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a supervisory position, leading a team of 3–4 engineers while remaining hands-on and technically involved. Working on a prestigious site, you will be responsible for overseeing daily engineering operations, ensuring high standards of maintenance, compliance, and service delivery. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and support a team of 3–4 engineers on-site * Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance * Ensure all mechanical systems are operating efficiently and safely * Allocate and supervise workloads across the engineering team * Provide technical guidance and support to engineers * Ensure compliance with health & safety and site procedures * Liaise with clients, contractors, and site management teams Requirements: * Qualified Mechanical Engineer (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship or equivalent) * Previous experience in a supervisory, lead or senior engineering role * Strong mechanical maintenance background within commercial building services * Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills * Good communication and leadership abilities Package & Benefits: * Salary up to £48,000 per annum * Monday to Friday working pattern * Overtime available * 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays * Competitive pension scheme * Company benefits package * Ongoing training and development * Genuine career progression opportunities * Stable and supportive working environment This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Mechanical Engineer looking to develop their leadership career with a company that invests in its people and offers long-term progression.
