What We’re Looking For in a Paint Sprayer
Paint Sprayer Essential Qualifications
Applicants must hold one of the following:
* City & Guilds Level 3 in Paint Spraying
* SSPC TTP Bronze (or higher)
* ICATS Basic Industrial Coating Applicator
* OPITO Blaster/Sprayer Level 1
Paint Sprayer Essential Skills & Experience
* Previous spray painting experience is essential
* Experience within industrial, automotive, rail, or similar spraying environments
* Strong knowledge of coatings, paint systems, and spray application techniques
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes
* Ability to follow health & safety procedures, method statements, and risk assessments
* Reliable, professional, and able to work effectively as part of a team
* Positive attitude towards ongoing training and career development opportunities
The Paint Sprayer Role
As part of the paint shop team, you will play an important role in ensuring products meet the highest quality standards before dispatch.
Paint Sprayer Duties:
* Preparing surfaces through cleaning, masking, sanding, and priming
* Applying industrial coatings and paints using spray equipment
* Ensuring all work is completed to specification and quality requirements
* Monitoring environmental conditions and paint application processes
* Carrying out routine equipment checks and maintenance
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
* Working closely with colleagues and supervisors to meet production schedules
