Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant - Autism (ASD) Support | Primary School | Clapham Junction | Full-Time Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain valuable experience in education, special educational needs (SEND), or child development? We are recruiting a motivated and enthusiastic Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Clapham Junction. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, or future teachers who want hands-on experience working with children with additional needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide dedicated 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them achieve their academic, social, and emotional goals. You will work closely with experienced teachers and SEND professionals in a collaborative and nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities * Support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the classroom. * Assist with learning activities and interventions tailored to individual needs. * Promote positive behaviour, communication, and social development. * Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to support pupil progress. * Foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment. Role Details * Location: Clapham Junction * Position: Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant * Hours: 8:45am – 4:45pm * Contract: Full-time, term-time only * Start: Immediate or September start available * Progression: Strong potential for a permanent position Ideal Candidate * A degree in Psychology or a related subject. * Passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Patient, proactive, and eager to learn. * Previous experience working with children is beneficial but not essential.
