Logistic Co-Ordinator (Permanent)

Vickerstock is working in partnership with a leading FMCG business to recruit a Logistics Coordinator.. This is a key role within the supply chain function, responsible for coordinating third-party transport, managing inbound bookings and ensuring all customs and bonded movements are completed accurately and compliantly. The successful candidate will be commercially focused, highly organised and confident managing multiple transport providers and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Plan and coordinate third-party transport for inbound and outbound goods. Manage transport bookings, delivery schedules and warehouse booking requirements. Source competitive haulage rates and negotiate with transport providers to secure best value. Monitor transport performance and resolve delays or service issues promptly. Maintain accurate customs, transport, pallet and cost records. Liaise with suppliers, warehouses, customers, hauliers, customs agents and freight forwarders to ensure smooth operations. Provide packaging sales data to support ERP requirements. Produce transport and performance reports, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Good understanding of import and export procedures. Commercially focused, with experience managing transport costs and negotiating rates.
