About the role

The Royal (Dick) Veterinary School - Rural campus at the foot of the Pentland Hills.


You will lead and teach animal husbandry to undergraduate veterinary students, including course development and assessment. In conjunction with administrative support, you will assist with the Extra-Mural Studies (EMS) component of the course. The post allows scope to undertake relevant research projects.


  • This Lecturer position at the RDSVS offers:
  •  Diverse daily work focusing on student teaching and research.
  • 8 weeks paid holiday per year.
  • Starting salary £50,253 - £61,759 (UoE Grade 8).
  •  We particularly welcome applicants with a research interest in parasitology and/or nutrition
  • Work at our rural campus at the foot of the Pentland Hills, 7 miles from Edinburgh, and enjoy access to Edinburgh University facilities, services and clubs.
