Work flexibly. Advise great clients. Build your own practice.
We're looking for an experienced solicitor to join Shoredons as a consultant, with a particular focus on small business sales and acquisitions where the key asset is a commercial lease.
This will include transactions involving:
- Restaurants.
- Pubs and bars.
- Cafés.
- Shops and other retail businesses.
- Other owner-managed and small businesses.
You'll need to be comfortable managing these transactions from start to finish, including dealing with both the commercial property and commercial / corporate aspects.
Alongside business sales and acquisitions, you'll also advise clients on more traditional commercial property matters, including:
- Commercial leases, acting for both landlords and tenants.
- Commercial property sales and acquisitions.
- Other general commercial property matters.
We're looking for a solicitor who:
- Has experience with, and is flexible with fees, when advising on smaller transactions.
- Has at least 6 years' post-qualification experience as an English qualified solicitor.
- Has strong experience advising on business sales and acquisitions structured as asset sales.
- Has solid commercial property experience.
- Can confidently manage transactions from instruction through to completion.
- Is commercially minded and gives pragmatic, straightforward advice.
- Takes pride in delivering exceptional client service.
- Is comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
- Is based in the United Kingdom.
An existing client following or referral network would be particularly attractive, but you won't be expected to generate all of your own work. Shoredons will provide work, with the opportunity for you to develop your own client base alongside it.
What you'll receive:
- A pipeline of work provided by Shoredons.
- A highly competitive fee share arrangement.
- Full administrative and compliance support.
- A fully remote, flexible way of working.
- Modern systems and technology.
- Professional indemnity insurance.
- Direct access to the firm's leadership.
- A collaborative team of like-minded lawyers.
- The freedom to develop your own client base alongside firm-generated work.
Who is this for?
This role would suit an experienced solicitor who enjoys advising entrepreneurs and owner-managed businesses.
You may already have your own clients or referral relationships, or you may simply be looking for the freedom of consultancy without needing to rely entirely on your own following.
Why Shoredons?
We're intentionally building a different type of law firm.
One that gives talented lawyers the freedom to focus on clients rather than bureaucracy. One that values quality over volume. And one where experienced solicitors can work flexibly, develop their own practice and benefit from the support and infrastructure of an established regulated firm. xwzovoh
If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you. Please apply through LinkedIn.
