Teaching Assistant L2

Key Stage Teacher Supply are currently recruiting on behalf of a lovely, welcoming Catholic primary school in Preston, South Ribble who are looking to appoint three experienced Teaching Assistants to join their team.

The school has a strong sense of community and a nurturing environment, with a real commitment to supporting pupils' learning, development and wellbeing.

There are three opportunities available: - 

1. Level 3 Teaching Assistant

30 hours per week2. Level 2 Teaching Assistant

30 hours per week3. Level 2 Teaching Assistant

17.5 hours per week, working across 3 daysWhat are the school looking for?
The school is keen to hear from experienced, classroom based Teaching Assistants who are confident supporting pupils with their learning and development.
There is flexibility around year group placement, with opportunities to work across Year 2 upwards, depending on experience and suitability.
All three roles will include an element of lunchtime play and welfare supervision, so candidates should be comfortable supporting children both in the classroom and during less structured parts of the school day.

Competitive hourly rate of pay, starting from £14.25 to £15 per hour (Depending on experience)

Primary Teaching Assistant role requirements: 

Previous experience supporting children in a classroom
• Understanding of the primary curriculum (KS1 or KS2)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
• A patient, proactive and supportive approach 
• Ability to work as part of a team 
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing 
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply  
The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will: 

Support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Assist the teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities
• Encourage pupil engagement and participation 
• Support behaviour management using positive strategies 
• Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment 
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams
