Pricing & Risk Specialist

Are you an expert in risk modelling, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning? Do you enjoy analysing complex datasets and transforming them into impactful insights that shape business strategy? We’re supporting a leading global insurer in their search for a Senior Risk Modelling Analyst to join their Technical Pricing Team. This role will suit someone with strong analytical capability, commercial awareness, and the ability to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. What you’ll be doing: Analyse and interrogate data to evaluate business profitability and emerging trends. Work with a range of data sources to investigate risks and opportunities. Apply advanced modelling techniques including GLM and GBM to assess portfolio performance. Use the latest machine learning methods to develop insight into risks and dependencies. Provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic and tactical initiatives. Produce high-quality reports that inform senior management decision-making. Collaborate across teams to ensure pricing and risk strategies align with business objectives. What we’re looking for: Proven experience in a similar risk modelling or technical pricing role. Strong technical skills, particularly MS Excel for data analysis and visualisation. Proficiency with risk modelling tools (e.g. RADAR, AKUR8) and machine learning platforms. Experience of SAS, SQL, VBA, Python, or Power BI is highly desirable. A numerical or analytical academic background (e.g. Mathematics, Economics, Actuarial Studies) preferred. Ability to communicate technical analysis clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
