Power Trader – Prop

We are partnered on exciting opportunity for an experienced Power Trader within a large European Utility. This role focuses on Trading and Structuring transactions with corporate, wholesale and industrial clients, collaborating with a global team across the UK & Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage positions and maintain market oversight.
• Build and sustain relationships with wholesale customers and corporate clients.
• Lead an Analyst, oversee marketing efforts, and represent the company at industry events.
• Execute trades to optimise book value and originate contracts to drive revenue.
• Conduct market analysis and support Origination and Structured Trading teams.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in trading Gas, Power, Energy Attribute Certificates, and/or Carbon Emissions Reduction Certificates.
• Strong background in marketing commodity products to corporate clients.
• Ability to analyse market trends and develop commercial strategies.
• Established network in European energy markets and expertise in the full deal lifecycle.
• Deep knowledge of the renewable energy sector, including regulations and market fundamentals.
