Part-Time SENDCo - Independent Primary School - Islington - September 2026 Start A highly regarded independent primary school based in Islington is seeking an experienced and dedicated SENDCo to join their team on a part-time basis from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and knowledgeable SEND professional to play a key role in shaping inclusive practice and supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 within a warm and supportive school environment. SENDCo - The Role: * Part-time position - 3 days per week * September 2026 start * Independent primary school based in Islington * Salary: £34,502 - £53,482 per annum pro rata * Working closely with SLT, teachers, support staff, parents and external agencies * Leading SEND provision across the school The ideal candidate will: * Hold the NPQ SENCO qualification * Have previous experience working as a SENDCo within a primary school setting * Have a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice * Be confident supporting pupils with a range of SEND including Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs and SEMH * Be passionate about inclusive education and improving outcomes for pupils with additional needs * Demonstrate excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills Main responsibilities will include: * Leading and overseeing SEND provision across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 * Identifying and assessing pupils with additional needs and maintaining the school SEND register * Supporting teachers and support staff with adaptive teaching strategies and intervention planning * Monitoring the progress and attainment of pupils with SEND and implementing targeted support where required * Coordinating EHCP applications, annual reviews and SEND documentation * Working closely with parents, carers and external professionals including SALT, Educational Psychologists and therapists * Delivering high-quality CPD and guidance to teaching and support staff * Supporting the development of inclusive classroom practice across the school * Monitoring the impact of interventions and ensuring provision meets pupils' individual needs * Supporting pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development * Contributing to whole-school improvement planning and inclusion strategies * Ensuring safeguarding, inclusion and SEND policies are implemented effectively This is an excellent opportunity to join a nurturing and forward-thinking school that places inclusion and pupil wellbeing at the heart of its provision
