Company Secretarial Assistant | Excellent Career Development Opportunity

I'm currently partnering with a client seeking a capable and ambitious Company Secretarial Assistant to join their established Company Secretariat team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a company secretarial professional looking to move into a more accountable role, with significant exposure to senior stakeholders, board and committee processes, and corporate governance activities across a complex group structure.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of a high-quality governance framework, working closely with the Deputy Company Secretary and key business stakeholders. While the role includes core company secretarial responsibilities, it offers far greater scope than pure administration, requiring someone who can operate confidently, build trusted relationships, and contribute to an effective boardroom environment from day one.

Key responsibilities include: • Maintaining statutory registers and corporate records in compliance with the UK Companies Act

• Managing Companies House filings and regulatory obligations

• Supporting board and committee meetings, including agendas, board packs and minute-taking

• Monitoring governance and compliance deadlines

• Supporting corporate transactions, entity management and group structure administration

• Assisting with share/equity incentive programmes

• Liaising with senior stakeholders, legal advisers, auditors and other external partners

• Identifying opportunities to improve governance processes and systems

The ideal candidate will have: • Experience working within a Company Secretariat or legal team environment

• Strong knowledge of the UK Companies Act and corporate governance requirements

• Experience supporting board and committee processes

• Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills

• The confidence to engage credibly with senior stakeholders and work independently

Candidates will ideally hold a Law degree, Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland (CGIUKI) qualification, be studying towards Chartered Secretary status, or possess equivalent relevant experience.

This opportunity offers excellent exposure, responsibility and long-term career development within a highly professional governance function. xwzovoh
