Overview
A leading UK-based consumer business is seeking an experienced interim consultant to conduct a rapid review of its organisational structure, operating model and leadership framework.
Working closely with the executive team, the consultant will assess whether the current organisation is appropriately structured to support future growth, scalability, operational effectiveness and value creation objectives.
This is a high-impact advisory assignment suited to a commercially minded HR/People leader, organisational effectiveness specialist or former HR Director with experience in complex consumer products, FMCG, healthcare, pharmaceuticals or retail environments.
Objectives
The consultant will:
- Review the current organisational structure across all functions.
- Assess spans and layers, decision-making effectiveness and accountability.
- Evaluate leadership capability and organisational design against future business requirements.
- Identify duplication, gaps and inefficiencies.
- Review corporate, regional and international reporting structures.
- Assess organisational readiness for future growth and transformation initiatives.
- Benchmark organisation structures against comparable consumer health businesses.
- Develop recommendations to simplify structures, improve effectiveness and enhance accountability.

Candidate Profile
We are interested in individuals who can demonstrate:
- Previous experience leading organisation design and effectiveness projects.
- Former HR Director, Chief People Officer, Organisation Effectiveness Director or equivalent.
- Experience within consumer health, OTC healthcare, FMCG, branded consumer products or associated sectors.
- Strong stakeholder management capability at Board and Executive level.
- Experience of change, transformation and scaling organisations.
- Commercially minded approach balancing people, performance and efficiency.
- Ability to work independently and deliver practical recommendations rapidly.
Ideal Backgrounds
- Former HR Director or People Director in a mid to large consumer products business.
- Organisation Design Consultant from Mercer, Korn Ferry, Aon, Willis Towers Watson, PwC, Deloitte, EY or Accenture.
- Independent organisational effectiveness specialist. xwzovoh
- Experience supporting private equity-backed organisations desirable but not essential.
