Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: City of London Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 (dependant on level of experience) + package A leading civil engineering and demolition contractor based in Central London is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute professional to take a lead role on complex, high-value projects across a diverse portfolio of sectors. The Company This well-established contractor specialises in delivering challenging, technically demanding projects across demolition, enabling works, and civil engineering. With an excellent reputation for quality, safety, and delivery, they operate across: Commercial, Industrial, Nuclear, Infrastructure & Rail. The Role As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the commercial function on key projects, providing leadership and strategic input while ensuring strong financial performance. You will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through to final account, mentoring junior team members, and building key client relationships. Key Responsibilities Lead commercial management of projects from inception to completion Oversee procurement and management of subcontractor packages Prepare and manage valuations, variations, and final accounts Produce accurate cost reporting and forecasting Identify and mitigate commercial risks while maximising value Manage stakeholder relationships, including clients and internal teams Support and mentor junior surveyors Project Scope Includes Demolition Asbestos removal Earthworks Enabling works Requirements Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or demolition Strong contractual knowledge and commercial acumen Experience managing high-value, multi-disciplinary projects Ability to lead projects and mentor junior staff Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Relevant degree or equivalent qualification To apply, please submit you CV and a member of our team will be in contact!
