Job description

Thales, in partnership with Welsh Government and the University of South Wales, have created a National Digital Exploitation Centre (NDEC), in recognition of the need to create and retain high value jobs in the region as well as stimulate sustainable growth in regional business; The NDEC is a custom-built facility in Ebbw Vale South Wales to meet this need.

The education focus of NDEC will be on outreach activities to raise awareness of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) including for example Digital Skills and Cyber Security to school children, upskilling of teachers and the local workforce and providing career development opportunities to local businesses.

To help support our development, we are seeking an outreach delivery officer to be responsible for developing and delivering training courses and material primarily through the medium of Welsh in line with the NDEC agenda. Working closely with multiple different stakeholders, the customer community and both internal/external partners, the candidate will be a highly organised and diligent individual to make the role a success.

As an employee of USW you will be required to travel between our campuses and a variety of educational sites across South East Wales, including the National Digital Exploitation Centre (NDEC), Ebbw Vale.
