Senior Highway EngineerLocation: Bristol | Hybrid WorkingSalary: 45,000 - 55,000 + Pension + Discretionary Annual BonusI'm working with a small, well-established engineering consultancy just outside Central Bristol, who are looking to add an experienced Senior Highway Engineer to their growing team.This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work in a smaller, more personal environment where they can take real ownership of projects, work closely with clients and have a genuine influence on the continued growth of the business.The RoleYou'll be involved in the design and delivery of a range of highway schemes across the UK, with responsibility for producing high-quality technical designs and supporting projects through the approval process. Your role will include:Designing highway schemes, including complex junctions and roundaboutsPreparing designs and supporting technical approval for Section 278 agreementsWorking in accordance with DMRB and TSRGDDesigning and reviewing highway drainageUsing Civil 3D or similar design softwareWorking closely with clients and other disciplinesProviding technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineersExperience with development drainage and SuDS would be advantageous, although it is not essential.About YouWe're looking for an experienced highways professional with:7+ years' UK highway design experienceStrong technical highway design experienceProficiency in Civil 3D or similarExperience designing complex junctions and roundaboutsKnowledge of Section 278 technical approval processesGood understanding of DMRB and TSRGDUnderstanding of highway drainage requirementsThe ability and willingness to mentor junior staffWhat's on Offer45,000 - 55,000 salaryDiscretionary annual bonusPensionHybrid working, ideally 3 days per week in the officeOpportunity to work within a small, close-knit consultancyGreater responsibility and visibility than you might get within a larger corporate environmentOpportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of the businessPlease get in touch if interested!Will Herman 07581619823Aldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
