We’re offering a competitive base salary. We’re looking for a Payroll and Reinsurance Service Manager to join our Institutional Retirement Client Services team. This is a people-focused leadership role in a growing area, helping make sure customers and clients are paid accurately and on time, while supporting strong service delivery, operational controls and good customer outcomes.You do not need to be a technical payroll specialist. What matters most is that you can lead people well, manage priorities, build strong relationships and bring structure to a busy operational environment.What you'll be doing:Leading, coaching and supporting a team of Payroll Consultants and Reinsurance Operations Analysts Managing one-to-ones, KPIs, training plans and team development activity Prioritising workflow and resources so deadlines are met across the team Overseeing customer data preparation, Buy-In payroll reconciliations and payroll alterationsSupporting contractual obligations with reinsurers and internal client services teamsCollaborating with SMEs and stakeholders to improve processes, systems and controls Identifying operational risks and supporting practical mitigation plans Helping the team deliver accurate, timely and customer-focused outcomesWho we're looking for:Experience managing, leading or developing a team in a busy operational environment Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise high volumes of work and deadlinesGood communication and stakeholder management skills Confidence setting expectations, supporting performance and helping people developProblem-solving ability and strong attention to detailExperience in financial services, pensions, payroll operations, reinsurance operations or client services would be helpfulDefined benefit pensions knowledge would be beneficial but is not essentialA payroll or finance-related qualification such as CIPP would be desirable, but equivalent experience is also welcomedWhatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you.
