Year 1 Teacher (QTS) – Birmingham B16
Start Date: September
Daily Rate: £160 – £220 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, ongoing position
We are currently working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Birmingham B16 area that is seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September.
The school is looking for a qualified teacher with QTS and strong classroom experience, ideally within Key Stage 1. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated, and committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential during this important stage of their education.
The role will involve planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Key Stage 1 curriculum, assessing and monitoring pupil progress, and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where all children can thrive. You will be supported by a dedicated teaching assistant and work alongside an experienced and collaborative team of educators.
The school places a strong emphasis on high-quality teaching, pupil wellbeing, and developing children's confidence and independence. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about primary education and committed to making a positive impact on young learners.
Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 is highly desirable, along with the ability to support pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND. A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach is essential.
Please note: This role does not offer sponsorship and applicants must have a minimum of 6 months' UK school-based teaching experience.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience planning and delivering lessons within a primary school setting
* Previous Key Stage 1 teaching experience preferred
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Recent and relevant school-based references
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
