Technology Team Lead

Arcas is working with a growing IT consultancy that delivers onsite technical services to a wide range of clients across London. They’re looking for a hands‑on Technology Team Lead to take ownership of day to day technical operations, lead a small team, and act as the escalation point during high‑pressure situations. This role is ideal for someone who has stepped up as a team lead or senior engineer within an IT or network support environment and enjoys being the person people rely on when things get busy. What you’ll be doing * Leading and coordinating a small technical team across client sites * Acting as the senior escalation point for IT and network issues * Troubleshooting WiFi, switching, connectivity and infrastructure problems * Prioritising and managing incidents in fast‑moving environments * Working closely with clients, stakeholders and vendors * Ensuring smooth technical delivery during peak periods * Taking ownership of issues and guiding others through resolution What we’re looking for * Experience as an IT Team Lead, Senior IT Engineer, Network Support Lead, Senior Field Engineer, or similar * Strong grounding in networking fundamentals (WiFi, switches, VLANs, DHCP/DNS, patching) * Someone who stays calm, clear and decisive under pressure * Confident communicator who can coordinate people and manage expectations * Hands‑on problem solver who enjoys being the go‑to person * Comfortable working onsite in dynamic, sometimes high‑pressure environments Why this role * High visibility and real ownership * A role where personality and presence matter as much as technical skill * Varied work across different client environments * Opportunity to step into a leadership role without moving into full management * A consultancy that values initiative, calmness and technical breadth If you’re a senior engineer or team lead who thrives in fast‑moving environments and enjoys taking charge when it counts, this could be a great next step
