numi is partnering with an innovative, rapidly scaling competitive socialising and hospitality organisation to find an exceptional Head of IT and Systems. Following a recent Series A funding round, the business is expanding across the UK and internationally, requiring a strategic leader to own and scale their internal technology function. This is a unique "build-and-scale" opportunity to design the IT operating model from the ground up, freeing the core engineering team to focus on product development.
What you’ll do:
- Design and scale the comprehensive IT operating model for a growing, multi-venue business from the ground up.
- Own company-wide infrastructure, encompassing end-user computing, office networking, identity and access management, and business continuity.
- Manage the complete SaaS stack, vendor relationships, hardware procurement, and software licences.
- Act as the primary technical conduit between venue operations and the internal development team, translating operational requirements into clear technical workstreams.
- Establish and oversee internal security postures, including endpoint security, MFA enforcement, and GDPR data protection compliance.
- Build and oversee an effective IT support function, managing everything from onboarding workflows to Tier 1/Tier 2 ticketing, with scope to hire and grow the team.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven Leadership: Over 5 years of experience in IT roles, featuring at least 2 years operating at a Head of IT, IT Manager, or equivalent level.
- Scaling Experience: A proven track record of scaling an IT function within a multi-site or multi-country business, ideally with exposure to the hospitality or retail sectors.
- Technical Credibility: Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace administration, SaaS stack management at scale, identity management, and practical internal security protocols.
- Strategic Problem-Solving: The distinct ability to act as a translator between non-technical operations stakeholders and internal engineering teams.
- Builder Mindset: A strong preference for building functions from the ground up rather than maintaining established ones, coupled with a proactive ownership mentality in a fast-moving, founder-led environment.
- Bonus Expertise: Familiarity with enterprise-grade networking (e.g., Ubiquiti), Auth0, integrating operations platforms (such as EPOS), and managing Managed Service Providers (MSPs) is highly desirable.
Location & Setup:
- This is a permanent, hybrid role based out of the London office with remote working flexibility.
- Salary ranges from £75,000 to £95,000 depending on experience, plus equity participation in the Series A funded business.
- The role reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer. xwzovoh
- Additional benefits include 25 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays) and pension contributions.
