Location: Oxford / (3/4 days onsite)

Walker & Sloan have partnered with a well-established engineering consultancy specialising in HVAC and building services design, including work on complex and highly regulated projects.

We are looking for a Graduate HVAC Design Engineer with around 2 years’ industry experience to join a growing and collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your technical skills while working on diverse and technically challenging projects.


The Role

You will support the design and delivery of HVAC systems across a range of building services projects, working alongside experienced engineers and gaining exposure to full project lifecycles.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of HVAC systems for building and infrastructure projects
  • Produce design calculations, specifications, and technical drawings
  • Support system modelling and performance analysis
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, and structural engineers
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and regulations
  • Attend project meetings and contribute to technical discussions


Required Experience & Skills

  • 2 years’ experience in HVAC or building services engineering
  • Understanding of HVAC design principles and systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop


Desirable Skills

  • Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, IES, or similar
  • Exposure to projects within regulated environments (e.g. healthcare, nuclear, defence, etc.)
  • Knowledge of UK building xwzovoh regulations and industry standards (CIBSE, BSRIA, etc.)


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline
