Primary Teaching Assistant

Year 1 Teaching Assistant – Leicester A welcoming primary school in Leicester is looking to appoint a dedicated and caring Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be supporting a Year 1 pupil throughout the school day, both within the classroom and during break and lunchtime periods when required. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing. The Role: * Full-time position, Monday to Friday * Immediate start * Ongoing until July 2026 * Supporting a Year 1 pupil on a 1:1 basis * Assisting within the classroom to support learning and engagement * Supporting the pupil during breaktimes and transitions where required * Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO The Ideal Candidate Will: * Have previous experience working within a primary school setting * Be patient, nurturing, and adaptable * Have strong communication and behaviour management skills * Be able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff * Hold a relevant TA qualification or equivalent experience (desirable) This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s educational journey while becoming part of a supportive school environment
