Veterinary Surgeon (Weekends)

Veterinary Surgeon – Independent + Exp. Full time/ Permanent – 36 hours per week over 4 days Are you a qualified Veterinary Surgeon looking for a more varied caseload? This is an exciting opportunity to join a small animal, first opinion RCVS accredited hospital and a branch independent clinic. The hospital opened in 2009 and has 3 consultation rooms, 2 surgical theatres with laparoscopy facilities, and an imaging suite housing a digital X-ray, ultrasound, bronchoscopy and endoscopy equipment. There are also separate dental and prep areas on-site. The branch clinic opened in 2021 and is a ISFM Gold Friendly Cat Clinic and RWAF Rabbit friendly practice. Within this role, you would be working across the hospital with rotations at the clinic with other vets. Daily duties are varied including consultations, analysing lab results, prescribing medication, and performing surgeries. You would be joining a strong team made of 10 Vets, 10 RVNs, 2 SVNs, a team of 11 receptionists, and visiting specialists in soft tissue surgery, cardiology and diagnostic imaging, as well as a diplomat orthopaedic surgeon on the team. Culturally, the team are very close-knit and hold regular social events, they support and push each other to be their very best in everything that they do.
