Production Engineer

Production Engineer Electro-mechanical Location: Cambridge Salary: £40k-£45k About The Role:Platform Recruitment has partnered with a specialist manufacturer of precision electro-mechanical instruments, who are seeking a hands-on Production Engineer to support and enhance their manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day engineering support to engineering teams Lead improvement tasks and contribute to cross-team problem solving Create tooling, fixtures and aids to improve build efficiency Drive continuous improvement activities Prototype & test products using in-house equipment Produce CAD models and drawings for updates or custom requirements Liaise with suppliers or customers to clarify technical details Key Requirements: Strong background in electro-mechanical products 3D CAD design experience Solidworks preferable Good understanding of manufacturing quality principles Well organised with strong xwzovoh planning and documentation abilities Hands on prototyping & testing Workshop skills Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems If youre an engineer who enjoys solving practical manufacturing challenges, improving processes, and working closely with production teams to deliver high-quality products, wed love to hear from you.
