JRS Associates have partnered up with an exciting company in Pemberton to recruit an experienced CNC Miller - Programmer, Setter, Operator (Hurco or Heidenhain). This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering/manufacturing business offering long-term stability, progression opportunities and a strong working environment. This role sits within a precision engineering environment and will focus on the programming, setting and operation of CNC milling machines to manufacture high-quality components. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing one-off and small-batch work, programming directly at the machine, and ensuring components are manufactured to exact customer specifications. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing engineering company with a strong order book and readily available overtime. The Successful CNC Miller - Programmer, Setter, Operator (Hurco or Heidenhain) - Package: • Salary: £18.00 - £22.00 per hour • Shift Pattern: Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:00pm, Friday 8:00am - 3:00pm • Overtime: Paid at 1.5x and readily available • Company pension scheme • Permanent Position The Successful CNC Miller - Programmer, Setter, Operator (Hurco or Heidenhain) - Requirements: • At least 5 years' experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines • Strong experience using Hurco and/or Heidenhain controls • Ability to program directly at the machine from engineering drawings • Experience producing one-off and small-batch precision components • Experience using Fusion 360 and/or PowerMill CAM software advantageous • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and GD&T • Experience selecting, setting and measuring cutting tools • Ability to work to tight tolerances and achieve high-quality surface finishes • Experience carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspection activities • Competent using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers and gauges • Strong understanding of quality standards within a precision engineering environment • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively Apply now!
