Location: Blackpool (Easily accessible from Lytham, St Annes, Thornton, Poulton-le-Fylde, and Bispham)
Start Date: September 2026 (Autumn Term)
Contract Type: Flexible daily and short-term absence cover (up to 3 weeks absence cover). Term-time only, temporary contract.
Daily Rate: £130 - £168.80 per day (Daily supply ladder for low-commitment work with no planning or preparation duties).
The Opportunity
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic Primary Teachers (QTS) to join our successful team for the September 2026 term. We partner with a diverse range of vibrant primary schools across Blackpool, Fylde, and Wyre.
This role is ideal for educators who want to build a professional network across local schools while maintaining total control over their weekly schedule.
Your Role as a Supply Teacher
You will support local schools by delivering engaging lessons across the primary age range (Reception to Year 6).
Daily Cover: No planning required! Simply arrive, deliver pre-set work, mark the books, and leave the classroom tidy at the end of the day.
Flexible Bookings: Assignments range from single-day sickness cover to planned week-long absences. They are typically sickness-related or planned training/absence bookings.
Consistency: Help local schools maintain high educational standards in the permanent teacher's absence.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality teaching that ensures continuity of learning for pupils.
Adapt quickly to various school environments and classroom dynamics.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively using school-specific policies.
Safeguard children, maintaining a professional and safe learning environment at all times.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Have a deep understanding of the UK National Curriculum.
Be reliable, punctual, and adaptable to different school settings.
Possess strong interpersonal skills to build quick rapport with staff and pupils.
Desirable: Experience across EYFS, KS1, or KS2 and a willingness to travel within the Wyre area.
