We are recruiting a Sous Chef for a beautifully located riverside village pub near Hungerford, known for its quality-driven food offering and strong local following.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate chef to join a supportive kitchen team and play a key role in delivering fresh, seasonal dishes in a relaxed but high-standard environment.
The Role:
Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
Lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
Maintain high standards across prep, service, and presentation
Work with fresh, seasonal ingredients to deliver a quality menu
Support training and development of junior chefs
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
The Ideal Candidate:
Current Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous ready to step up
Background in quality pubs, fresh food kitchens, or restaurants
Passionate about food, seasonality, and consistency xwzovoh
Calm under pressure with strong organisational skills
A positive team player who leads by example
