Operations Manager

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of client’s global service offerings in drilling and marine equipment. This is a pivotal leadership role within the organisation, reporting directly to senior management. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all operational activities are executed to the highest standards of safety, quality, schedule adherence, and commercial performance. Based in Aberdeen, this role will involve managing workshop operations and providing support for international projects. Responsibilities

• Managing the full lifecycle of jobs, from initial scope definition through to successful delivery.
• Ensuring all work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with client expectations.
• Coordinating internal teams and external vendors to meet project timelines and deliverables.
• Maintaining strong commercial awareness across all scopes of work to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.
• Supporting and developing teams to uphold consistent, high-quality delivery standards.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.

Qualifications

• Proven operational experience within the drilling and/or marine equipment services sector (e.g., top drives, roughnecks, handling systems).
• A strong technical background with the ability to understand and guide complex scopes of work.
• A proactive, hands‑on leadership style with a focus on team development and operational excellence.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of operational performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Exceptional organisational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
