- Lead the strategic direction of risk and opportunity management across major programmes, developing and maintaining robust frameworks that support successful project delivery and portfolio performance
- Drive quantitative and qualitative risk analysis activities, applying industry-leading methodologies and championing best practice throughout the project lifecycle. Experience in delivering and interpreting QCRA and QSRA is essential
- Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, providing strategic guidance on risk and opportunity management while promoting a proactive, solutions-focused approach across programmes
- Facilitate risk and opportunity workshops, reviews, and assessments, ensuring risks are effectively identified, evaluated, mitigated, monitored, and communicated to key stakeholders
- Establish and enhance reporting and governance frameworks, delivering clear, actionable insights that support informed decision-making and drive accountability
- Foster a strong risk-aware culture, developing training initiatives and engagement programmes that build capability and embed best practice throughout the organisation
- Partner with senior leaders and project teams on major programme reviews, resource planning, and strategic decision-making, helping ensure successful delivery across complex project portfolios

- A proven track record in project and programme risk & opportunity management within infrastructure, construction, engineering, or the built environment
- A recognised risk qualification such as IRM Diploma, PMI-RMP, MoR Practitioner, APM Risk Practitioner, or equivalent
- Strong hands-on experience delivering Quantitative Cost Risk Analysis (QCRA) and Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA)
- Practical expertise using industry-leading risk tools such as Safran, Oracle PRA, @Risk, ARM, Predict, Risk Hive, or similar platforms
- Experience developing, implementing, and continually improving risk frameworks, governance structures, and reporting processes
- The confidence and credibility to engage, challenge, and influence stakeholders at all levels
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with excellent communication and facilitation skills
- A degree in Engineering, Project Management, Risk Management, or a related analytical discipline
- Flexibility to travel as required and occasionally stay away from home overnight
- A project management qualification such as PMP, PMQ/APM, or PRINCE2
- Working knowledge of industry standards and frameworks, including ISO 31000, COSO ERM, and APM PRAM
- Professional membership with organisations such as IRM, APM, PMI, or equivalent
- Experience working within major programme environments, PMOs, project controls functions, or on projects delivered under NEC contracts
