Maintenance Manager

Maintenance Manager – Power Generation / Energy from Waste Location: Grangemouth, Scotland Employment: Permanent Industry: Energy from Waste / Power Generation / Process Plant The Opportunity We are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join a major Energy from Waste facility in Grangemouth. This is a senior site-based position with responsibility for leading the plant maintenance function and ensuring high levels of plant availability, reliability and performance. The role would suit an experienced Maintenance or Engineering Manager from Energy from Waste, power generation, biomass, CHP, chemical processing or another heavy process environment. Maintenance Manager Key Responsibilities * Lead, manage and develop the site's maintenance team, including engineers and technicians. * Ensure plant availability and reliability targets are achieved. * Plan and coordinate preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance activities. * Manage planned outages, shutdowns and major maintenance activities. * Coordinate internal maintenance teams, specialist contractors and external suppliers. * Develop and implement effective maintenance and reliability strategies. * Drive continuous improvement across plant equipment and maintenance processes. * Identify recurring equipment issues and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions. * Support equipment upgrades and plant improvement projects. * Manage maintenance budgets and control departmental expenditure. * Identify opportunities to reduce maintenance costs and improve plant performance. * Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with site procedures. * Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure effective use of the site's CMMS. * Work closely with Operations and other departments to maximise overall plant performance. Maintenance Manager Background * Significant maintenance experience within Energy from Waste, power generation, process plant or a similar heavy industrial environment. * Previous experience managing or leading a multi-skilled maintenance team. * Strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical plant maintenance. * Experience with preventative, predictive and reliability-centred maintenance. * Experience planning and managing outages or major shutdown activities. * Good understanding of CMMS and maintenance planning systems. * Strong approach to Health & Safety and safe systems of work. * Experience working with contractors and specialist maintenance providers. * Waste processing, materials handling or resource recovery experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
