CAD Design Technician

Position 1 Recruitment is looking for a CAD Technician to join their client’s engineering and manufacturing team. This is a permanent, full-time position with good opportunities for long-term career development. Benefits * 23 days holiday, increasing to 25 days with service, plus bank holidays * Competitive pension, with employer/employee contributions increasing with service * Life assurance of 3x basic salary Permanent | Full-time | 9:00am – 5:00pm Key Responsibilities * Create accurate approval, fabrication and construction drawings * Produce and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) * Use Autodesk Inventor 3D, AutoCAD and Vault Professional * Work with engineers, customers and manufacturing teams * Apply Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles to designs * Help improve design processes and efficiency * Support Continuous Improvement and Lean activities * Follow company quality, safety and ISO 9001 procedures * Help identify and reduce design and manufacturing risks * Support the development and implementation of new engineering processes Skills & Experience * Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment * Experience with Autodesk Inventor 3D, AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar CAD software * Good understanding of technical drawings and manufacturing * Experience producing Bills of Materials * Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint) * Engineering/manufacturing qualification such as HNC/HND or degree is desirable, but relevant experience may also be considered Reach out to Aiste (phone number removed) Note: This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
