CNC Field Service Engineer – Anonymous Employer Job Title: CNC Field Service Engineer Location: Field-Based (UK-Wide Travel Required) Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum (Depending on Experience) Working Hours: Monday to Friday – Days Only * Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM * Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Includes 30-minute unpaid lunch break daily) The Role An experienced and driven CNC Field Service Engineer is required for a field-based position involving UK-wide travel and regular overnight stays. The role focuses on the diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and optimisation of CNC machine tools at customer sites. Key Responsibilities * Carry out service activities including breakdowns, audits, repairs, refurbishments, relocations, installations, and calibrations * Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and CNC control system faults * Undertake CNC control system, drive optimisation, and PLC-related projects * Perform machine geometry and alignment checks * Complete preventive maintenance (PPM) and servicing schedules * Produce technical documentation and machine assessment reports * Generate detailed service and escalation reports * Support internal teams with technical queries and spare part identification * Complete RAMS before commencing work * Travel frequently, including overnight stays when required Ideal Candidate * Previous experience in CNC machine tool servicing and repair * Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills * Knowledge of CNC controls, PLCs, and drive systems * Willingness to travel extensively and stay overnight * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Full UK driving licence Additional Pay (Optional) Standby Rates (paid even if not called out) Bank Holiday Overtime
