Ambitious project or Assistant Quantity Surveyor required to work with the construction team on a £50m new build healthcare project in Wiltshire . Currently in second stage preconstruction, some early enabling works have commenced on site, with main works to begin in November for a 2 year programme. Working closely with the Senior Surveyor you will be responsible for compiling scopes of works and putting sub-contract packages out to tender, analysis of tender returns, sub-contract procurement, management of sub-contractor accounts, undertaking measurement and valuations for payments, pricing variations, applications for interim payments, input to financial forecasting and CVRs, settlement of subcontractor final accounts. This is a superb opportunity to gain experience of working on a complex, and technically challenging project with a leading main contractor, plus this is a progressive role with ongoing training and development, and excellent promotional prospects. About the Company/Client/Project: The build is a flagship P22 project on NEC contract and with the growing team you will get the next 3 years working on one of the most iconic new builds in the south of the uk for this respected main contractor . The group has offices across the uk with major project teams assigned to the various south , south west and central teams With an enviable turnover of circa £1 billion , and secured workload in the healthcare, commercial, further education, student accommodation and high end residential sectors, secured through two stage tenders and often negotiated with repeat clients. Requirements including certificates and qualifications: You will ideally be degree qualified with 2-3 years minimum practical site experience post-graduation, or have worked in the industry and studied by day-release. Experience of an NEC3 Option C form of Contract would be advantageous.
