Brief
Lead Shift Engineer (Electrical Bias) needed for a large well known Facilities Management organisation based in Chelsea, London who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Lead Shift Engineer that takes pride in their work and has a strong understanding of electrical fault finding, diagnosis, repairs and reactive maintenance.
The successful candidate would have a relevant qualification - i.e. NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installations, AM2 and 18th Edition etc. - and have a keen interest in M&E Engineering. If you have commercial experience in Facilities Management that would be a plus!

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Lead Shift Engineer (Electrical Bias) will include:
Lead the electrical engineering team and achieve planned maintenance targets
Complete electrical fault finding, diagnosis, repairs and reactive maintenance
Maintain electrical and mechanical systems, statutory compliance, site records and safe systems of work
Manage client requests, quotations, reports and subcontractor activities
Maintain a professional image onsite, ensuring cleanliness and good working relationships
Operate Permit to Work systems in line with organisation and client procedures
Provide holiday and sickness cover, participate in out-of-hours standby rota, and flexible shift patternsWhat experience you need to be the successful Lead Shift Engineer (Electrical Bias):
Recognised Electrical industry qualification i.e. NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installations
Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in a similar role, ideally with building services M&E knowledge
Qualified in BS7671 18th Edition and AM2
Electrical Inspection and Testing 2391 - Desirable
Able to lead engineers, manage subcontractors and maintain statutory compliance
Confident reading electrical drawings and using CAFM systems
Able to act as a Competent Person for designated electrical duties
Customer focused, organised and able to work under pressure
A mechanical qualification is desirable
Computer literate, a good communicator, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and within a team
Fluent in English, written and spoken
Available to undertake out-of-hours standby rota
